Inspection reports are most useful when readers can trace each conclusion to a dated observation, measurement, photograph or document. Review the scope first: it determines what was and was not examined.
Check the measurement basis and assumptions, sample identification and any outstanding tests. Where an issue is material, request a specific follow-up action and make ownership clear. The report should support a decision without implying that unexamined areas were verified.
